Color is a very powerful thing and the use of certain colors can be found everywhere. It can change our mood or stimulate the senses. If you are outgoing, bold living room colors suit you best. At the same time if you are the shy type, passive colors are your thing. It is important to use the right combination of colors to make your room more inviting and relaxing. If you can, do not use more than two colors in any given room. One color as the main color and the other as the trim. If you really want to choose the best combination of colors for your living room you should try using a color palette. They can easily be found at a local paint store and someone is always willing to assist you if needed. Remember that different colors are associated with different moods. Light blue brings tranquility, purple is power or royalty and yellow brings happiness.
It will be important that you have similar colors be it accessories like throw pillows or rugs, ceramic vases, or paintings to help bring it all together or your curtains may stand out instead of becoming part of the rooms artful tapestry. It may take a couple of tries, before dialing in just the right shades that you are happy with, but well worth the results when you are finished. Brown and Blue living room curtains for are very stylish right now. You will want to stick with a light blue or a robins egg blue to pull off this theme. Eyelet curtains with both colors are an astounding combination. Just use narrower curtain panels so all four will fit nicely on one curtain rod. You could also opt to use a double curtain rod, and put the blue behind the brown, so when the brown is opened the light will shine through on the lighter color for a wonderful decor effect. Color schemes are a learned trait, and will take some practice for most amateur designers to pull them together on the fly.
Green plants with flowering can also give a colorful look to your drawing room. If you are confused on what plant to use, you can consult a nursery as they can give you wonderful suggestions. You can maintain their glare by simply dusting them. You can add odd things if you want to follow unconventional living room color ideas. You can add a whimsical lamp shade or a colorful sculpture. Many colorful lamp shades are found at a cheap price in a lamp shop. You can add a ribbon around at the top and the bottom so that it becomes more colorful. You can add some color to the floor by suitably placing some rugs strategically in front of a chair or beneath the coffee table. In this case, the color of the rug used should be a contrast to the ones used on the wall or on the floor. If there is a boring wall, it is better to cover it with a nicely designed mirror and keep some interesting decorating piece on it to make it look attractive.
No matter what you call it, whether it be the T.V. room, family room or lounge room, when we refer to the living room we are talking about the room in which you spend the most time together as a family. It can also be affecting the health and wealth of the people in your home. Does your living room depict a place of hospitality and peace? Do members of your family and visitors feel happy and comfortable or do they feel agitated and tense? With feng shui, we can create a harmonious living room that supports and nourishes those that live there.
Take the flower wall paper down; its time to start really thinking about living schemes. Most people never even thinking about living room, because the colors are already chosen for them with the furniture that they like, and the home that they have purchased. Think about how many people buy furniture unstained, or uncovered, and at the same time, purchases a home that has yet to be painted on the inside. Right, not too many people do that, so we must focus on the obvious truth about living room color schemes, much of it is already chosen for us. The best way to approach a schemes is think about what you can do, not what you can not do. This means to look at whatever you have the ability to change, and change it as much as possible to match some type of living room color scheme.
If you want to be daring, one can use two different colors. For instance, a bookcase can be painted in green and placed in a room with blue walls. However, there is also continuity throughout the house if same colors are used. A room with panels gives a chance to use opposite colors. One can also use paints to give effect to the panels if it is not there through the use of one color on the bottom third of the wall and another one on the upper wall. Creating an "accent wall" in clear colors for out of proportioned rooms can give a concurrent effect. However, if you wish to have your home an emotional effect, you might as well paint one big wall, start on each corner going to the middle, and leave a vertical space enough for an artwork to be hanged.
